KINGSWOOD SALVER/LANES TROPHY UPDATE

Following a brief statement made at the AGM last Saturday here is an update regarding
the Kingswood Salver and Lanes Trophy. Due to the immense interest in the Lanes
Trophy, resulting in a larger than expected entry it has been decided that this will now be a
competition day only so Gareth will NOT be giving a presentation.

Sadly we saw another reduction in entries for the Kingswood Salver with only 18 clubs
entering.

We anticipate the agenda for the day to be as follows:

10.00 – 10.30 Venue opens and members can view the Kingswood Salver entries

10.30 – 11.30 Welcome and Gareth Comments on individual panels

11.30 – 11.45 Comfort Break

11.45 – 13.30 Judge Lanes Part 1

13.30 – 14.15 Lunch/ Viewing by Members

14.15 – 15.30 Judge Lanes Part 2/T

15.30 – 15.45 Comfort Break and time to view the Lanes Trophy entries

15.45 – 16.30 Presentations/ Closing Comments

As the President advised at the AGM this event will now be free but donations would be
welcome. Unfortunately we were unaware at that time of the restriction on numbers at
Stover and this is limited to 60 seated and 40 standing. To make for a fairer system and to
be sure everyone is aware of how the Federation is dealing with this predicament,
invitations will be emailed to the club member that sent in the entry and the club can then
decide on their representative. Invitation to members entering the Lanes Trophy will also
be sent to the email address on the entry form. Applications for tickets must be with me by
24 th October 2026, on receipt of your request a link will be sent to apply for a ticket. After
this date any remaining tickets will be offered to all. To be clear seat allocation will be as
follows:

All clubs entering the Kingswood Salver will be allocated 1 seat.

All members entering the Lanes Trophy will be allocated 1 ticket – for seating this will be
on a first come first served basis and when all 60 seats have been allocated members will
be advised that it is standing only.

After the time restriction any remaining seats/standing space will be offered to all.
We can’t apologise enough for the situation that has arisen and we have tried to find an
alternative venue but there is nothing available at such sort notice.
